If you drive:
Driving yourself can be such a hassle! How many times have you driven up and down the streets searching for an open parking spot? How long do you let your car warm up in the morning and how much gas does that waste? What about scraping your windows? Do you forget to factor in the time it takes and just find yourself peering through a tiny hole in the windshield because it’s too cold to do a good job? That is incredibly dangerous! Many drivers have to leave at least 20-25 minutes early just to find a parking spot. Then how often do you find a good parking spot and get to class early or even on time?! I-Ride’s first pick up is 30 minutes before classes start and gets you to campus early.
What if you’re married and only have one car? Isn’t it annoying to try and set up times to meet or leave early because your spouse has class before you? What if you have a group meeting or need to go to work? Imagine how easy it would be for one (or both) to take the shuttle. A pass can be used interchangeably and we offer a discount for married students who need to buy two semester passes. Forget about a “B” pass “U” pass and “F” pass and just get a single “ride pass!”
If you walk:
Let’s be honest – if you live two or three blocks from campus it is a long walk every day and it really adds up. Even if you live across the street from campus, you may have a class at the top of the hill on the other side of campus! It’s okay to admit you get tired of walking and that it takes a long time. What if you could spend those precious minutes cramming for a test or listening to a podcast you missed? Heck – just spend them not walking!
And have you ever experienced the frozen tundra of Rexburg in the winter? Well below freezing temperatures, frigid winds, and tremendous snow drifts are all right around the corner, my friends. You need waterproof snow boots just to cross the street because of the sick nasty slush that’s created from Rexburg’s snow removal strategies. Seriously, do you want to deal with that? Just buy a pass for the shuttle that more than likely stops close to your apartment complex. And if it doesn’t – demand that it does buy sending me an email!
Grocery Stores
Not much needs to be said for why you should use I-Ride to get to and from the grocery store. First you have to get there. Then you have to carry all those sacks with you. All of this when you could just get a ride!!
